Local Harvest Café and Catering began in 2007 as a tiny counter in the 900 square foot Local Harvest grocery store. It is now an award-winning brunch cafe with a separate full-service catering program. Local Harvest Catering started out with box lunches and the odd small reception in Tower Grove Park. Now, we are pleased to be the premier farm-to-table caterer in the St. Louis area, bringing our services to venues all over and even out of town. Our clients are corporate, non-profit, educational, and private.

Our vendors are independent farmers and small businesses that are committed to the craft of artisan food production. Their practices are conscientious; their ingredients are unprocessed; they live in and employ the people in your neighborhood. We invite you to learn more about our practices and our vendors.

While our customers most value our commitment to local and healthy food, they are, in the end, wowed by its taste and creativity. Local food is fresher; healthy food tastes better. And we know how to cook it.

We have been, and still are, committed to being a positive part of our community: using green practices, supporting small local farmers and producers, donating to educational and environmental charities, and providing our employees a living wage. Catered and “to go” food can be, by nature, very wasteful. We recycle packaging and compost leftovers at all of our events. Our box lunch packaging is 100% compostable, while our disposable platters are post-consumer plastics that can once again be recycled. We are always refining our methods of ordering and production to keep food waste to a minimum.

Local Harvest feels that knowing your food is of the utmost importance – we are dedicated to transparent and honest food production. We believe that local, conscientiously-produced food is not only healthier, but better tasting, and better looking. We invite you to enjoy the delicious tastes of seasonal eating as well as its positive impact on our world.
